HCL commemorated 49 years of leading change by collectively celebrating HCL Day across 10 locations in India. A mega plantation drive planted over 49,000 saplings pan-India, with enthusiastic participation from over 2,100 participants, including HCLTechies, government partners, nonprofits, community stakeholders, and more.

Every plantation site was buzzing with activity and joy as saplings of native species were planted. The event drew parallels with HCL's own 49-year journey, highlighting the company's agility and ability to build lasting impact.

HCLFoundation signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu Department of Prisons and Correctional Services in the presence of Dr. Maheshwar Dayal (IPS) and Dr. Nidhi Pundhir to strengthen collaboration in rehabilitation and social reintegration.

HCLFoundation hosted the 7th Edition of Sports for Change National Finals 2025 at SSN, Chennai, uniting 758 athletes from 45 districts across 14 states. The event was inaugurated by Padmashri Sharath Kamal and Dr. Kala Vijayakumar, celebrating youth and sports.

This year's PFC theme, 'Expanding Horizons: Scaling Impact,' delved into the transformative power of innovative thinking, collaborative spirit, and inclusive approaches in amplifying grassroots initiatives into widespread, lasting change.

 PFC celebration this year brought a joyous tribute to our collective accomplishments, infusing us with renewed energy and purpose for the journey ahead. The visual identity of PFC draws inspiration from our rural heritage, paying homage to the timeless traditions and vibrant spirit of our villages.

My E-Haat Conclave Second Edition celebrated India’s artisans with the theme “Revitalizing the Craft Economy.” HCLTech reaffirmed its commitment to empowering 7,000,000 + artisans and 35,000 + unique products, is vital to the nation's economy.

HCLFoundation held the first Roundtable on the ‘Yamuna River Basin Collective Action’ an initiative by HCLFoundation, at HCLTech Noida campus. We are proud to share that HCLTech has pledged to lead the water stewardship in Yamuna basin as a part of the ‘CEO Water Mandate Water Resilience Coalition’. Various representatives from civil society organizations and think tanks working in the Yamuna Basin, including former Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Mr G. Asok Kumar were a part of this discussion. Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Senior Vice President, Global CSR, HCLTech and Director, HCLFoundation gave insights on this initiative.- 5th November, Noida.

HCLFoundation Signed MoU with Animal Husbandry Department, Uttar Pradesh to Develop Sandila Veterinary Hospital as a Centre for Artificial Insemination & Animal Husbandry Extension Services in the presence of Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

A mega plantation drive was organized to mark 48 years of HCL on August 11 across 13 districts in India. Over 2,000 volunteers, including HCLTechies, their families, NGO partners, and community members, came together to plant 48,000 native tree and mangrove saplings. Chairperson Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra and several members of HCLTech's leadership team joined the effort, making it a truly special event.

HCLFoundation, in collaboration with Katha, inaugurated the STEM Stars Lab in Noida to spark creativity and innovation in students through digital and robotics education .Across Noida, seven STEM labs are transforming education for 2,000+ young learners. 

To mark the 39th International Coastal Cleanup Day, HCLFoundation—alongside its NGO and government partners, HCLTechies, their families, friends, and community volunteers—joined hands to clean up beaches across India. Cleanups were conducted at eight coastal sites in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Kerala, promoting environmental stewardship and community engagement. 

HCLFoundation hosted the Sports for Change National Finals 2024 at SSN, Chennai, celebrating the power of sports to go beyond competition and victory, instilling life skills and values in young athletes. 800+ children from 12 states and 2 union territories—spanning 40+ districts—participated in this grassroots initiative aimed at nurturing and promoting national sports talent.

Samuday by HCLFoundation was awarded 1st Runner-Up in the CSR category at the NATHEALTH Impact Awards 2024 for its Adolescent Health Anemia Project, benefiting 20,000+ girls. Mr. Alok Varma received the award at the Arogya Bharat Summit.

HCLFoundation participated in the UP Global Investor Summit & GBC 4.0, inaugurated by the Hon’ble PM. Recognized for impactful work and successful project implementation, the event showcased key development milestones of the state.

Kanchan Verma, DG School Education, inaugurated two STEM labs at GIC Nishatganj, Lucknow. Through STEM, HCLFoundation fosters scientific acumen in youth, empowering them to excel academically and lead dignified lives.

HCLFoundation hosted the 7th Partnering for Change 2024, bringing together 470+ participants from 200+ NGOs and stakeholders. The event showcased partner progress, best practices, and impact across geographies and flagship themes.

HCLFoundation, with NGO partners CHETNA & EFRAH and Police Commissionerate, Gautam Buddha Nagar, led winter relief efforts—distributing 2,000+ blankets and 1,000+ tarpaulin sets to support vulnerable communities during harsh winters.

A new café was inaugurated at HCLTech Noida Campus, run by SHG women under HCLFoundation’s My E-Haat initiative. HCLTechies can now enjoy millet snacks, cookies & more—crafted with passion for a wholesome experience.

HCLFoundation celebrated National Youth Day at HCLTech Campus, Jigani, Bengaluru, honoring Swami Vivekananda’s legacy. 200+ youth from partner orgs joined on-site, with many more participating virtually from Yuvakendras across regions.

HCLFoundation celebrated its Dairy Development Project at Dairy Kisan Protsahan Evam, UP, felicitating 8 active women farmers. The event marked increased sales over the year, with farmers receiving bonus as additional monetary benefit.

Sports for Change by HCLFoundation participated in the 1st Khelo India Para Games, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. With stellar performances, the team secured 18 medals—12 Gold, 4 Silver, and 2 Bronze—among 1,500 athletes from 36 states/UTs.

At COP28 in Dubai, Dr. Nidhi Pundhir led the HCLFoundation contingent, engaging with key stakeholders to drive collective action for a sustainable and resilient future, amplifying the Foundation’s commitment to climate leadership.

My E-Haat Conclave celebrated the successful two-year journey of the initiative, honoring artisans and their craft. The event showcased vibrant art, inspiring stories, and the growing impact of My E-Haat in empowering grassroots entrepreneurs.

HCLFoundation led relief efforts post-Cyclone Michaung in Chennai, distributing 3,800+ ration kits with essential items to affected communities. The initiative reflects our commitment to timely support and resilience in times of crisis.

HCLFoundation received the 'Best Communication in Sanitation' award by India Sanitation Coalition - FICCI for impactful behaviour change campaigns under Samuday in Hardoi, promoting ODF villages and sustainable hygiene practices.

On International Coastal Cleanup Day ,1575 HCLTech volunteers, NGO partners & govt. stakeholders joined a Community Plogathon across 7 sites, collecting 6,067 kg of waste—reaffirming their commitment to #CleanerCoasts.

HCLFoundation celebrated National Sports Day with 800+ young athletes from 10 districts. Over 5 thrilling days of competition, the event fostered sportsmanship, unity, and the spirit of healthy competition among rural youth.

HCLFoundation renewed its partnership with Tamil Nadu Police to empower children in Chennai’s urban slums through sports, scouts, education & health. The MoU was signed with senior officials including Shri Sandeep Rai Rathore IPS and others.

To mark the 47th HCL Day,  47,000 native saplings were planted across various locations. This green initiative reflects HCLFoundation’s commitment to environmental sustainability and building a greener, healthier future for all.

HCLFoundation received a certificate of appreciation from the Hon’ble CM of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, for developing infrastructure in govt. schools of Gautam Buddha Nagar & Hardoi under the State’s “Operation Kayakalp” programme.

HCLFoundation and NCUI (under Ministry of Cooperation, GoI) have partnered to set up skill development centres, promote the cooperative movement, and empower artisans, women, and youth—driving inclusive growth and community transformation.

HCL Foundation has renewed its partnership with the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) for another three years to boost native biodiversity in the eco-sensitive regions of Uttarakhand.

The extended partnership aims to double down on the deep positive impact against habitat degradation and native biodiversity loss that this unique initiative has been able to make. HCL Foundation aims to plant an additional 10,000 Rudraksha saplings and other native species in the region by 2026. It will also organize community awareness programs to restore degraded habitats and conserve native biodiversity.

HCLTech won the National Water Award in the 'Industry for CSR Activities' category for its impactful work in holistic water conservation and management—rejuvenating 200+ water bodies and harvesting 57.9 billion litres of water across India. 

To mark World Earth Day, HCLFoundation launched the national ‘GENCAN’ initiative with CEE under Harit to promote climate education and action in schools. 200+ students joined the launch, pledging commitment to a greener, sustainable future.

HCLFoundation and Thuvakkam NGO received the MCCI TAFE CSR Awards 2022 on Jan 31, 2023, for their impactful “Greenery – Urban Forest” project, recognized for innovation, collaboration, and environmental sustainability.

HCLFoundation, in partnership with Gautam Buddha Nagar Police and NGO Partner- CHETNA, launched a new mobile classroom under its ‘Nanhe Parinde’ initiative, part of Uday. Five vans now serve children across Gautam Buddh Nagar.

To mark National Youth Day and commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, HCLFoundation hosted the 2nd Yuva Mela with Dr. Nidhi Pundhir and Mr. Veera Raghava Rao (IAS), Commissioner, Training & Employment, Govt. of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Forest Dept and HCLFoundation have partnered to tackle ghost nets and marine debris in the Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park. Aligned with SDG 14, the 3-year initiative includes cleanup and mass awareness for coastal communities.

HCLFoundation Sports Scholar Jerlin Anika became India’s first woman Deaflympian to receive the prestigious Arjuna Award for her achievements in badminton. She was honoured by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
