Her parents are migrant daily wage workers from Bihar who came to NOIDA looking for better work opportunities 5 years ago. While their parents would be away at work, she took care of her younger brothers. The HCL Gurukul teachers counseled the parents and enrolled Vartika & her brother at the bridge education center in Barola in 2017. Soon, Vartika was mainstreamed at Barola Upper Primary Government School in Grade 6 and her brother joined a private school in Grade 1 in April 2018 and they continued remedial education at the center. Both have secured 1st positions in their classes in the final exams conducted in March 2019.
