SCALABILITY/REPLICABILITY
Shahdol is a rural district with a large tribal population, and poor MNCH outcomes. e
Project seeks to drive sustainable change and strengthen the quality of services at health
facilities in partnership with the state government for better management of normal and
complicated deliveries, strengthening the coverage and quality of ante-natal/post-natal care
services at community, and especially for identification and referral of high-risk pregnancies
and sick/small newborns.
India Health Action Trust (IHAT)
• Reaching 30,000 pregnant/new mothers, 25,000 newborns, 500 frontline
workers, & 235 ANMs & doctors
• A solar-powered digital ante-natal kit to identify high-risk pregnancies
• Mini-skill labs for nurses and ANMs for delivery and essential
newborn care
• Digital tools for real-time capture and monitoring of programme data
