HCLTech Grant’s partners in action are the drivers of real transformation in rural India
through their chosen projects which fulfill the criteria for selection and oſten go beyond
their brief,
leveraging their core strengths and knowledge, and the benefits of convergence
with government initiatives and community organizations.
eir highly relevant,
remarkably innovative, and sustainable programmes are scalable and replicable anywhere,
from Ladakh to Kerala, and Nagaland to Kutch. eir efforts are inherently inclusive, both
in terms of the beneficiaries and the leadership. For example, in Nagaland, the massive
reduction in the maternal mortality rate through ‘LifeConnect’ in partnership with
Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS, 2018) was driven by the engine of grassroots women,
and the Grant merely provides the fuel for growth. e final criteria is that of solid financial
modelling, which is bedrock of the success of the progamme. Under e Mango Tree Society
(UTMT Society) has promoted beekeeping as a profitable income stream for small farmers
in tribal communities in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Expanding awareness,
innovation and training has been made possible by the Grant. UTMT Society has earned
profits of nearly
