This category recognizes projects that enable transf

ormative

work in the areas of equitable and universal access to health for

all; equal access to clean drinking water; sanitation and hygiene

facilities for all; prevention and elimination of waterborne

diseases; maternal, adolescent, child health and nutrition; and

eradication of communicable diseases. To qualify for the HCL

Grant, the project should complement state efforts towards

achievement of the goals of the National Health Mission and

support innovative, scalable models that will help the nation

meet its targets in rural India.
