At the outset, HCL Foundation would like to Thank You for your time, interest and participation in the ‘Call for Action’ and the invite for Expression of Interest (EoI) initiated in April towards COVID-19. The purpose of the EoI was to respond, increase resilience as well as reduce vulnerabilities of local communities, enabling them to better prepare for and mitigate the risks and challenges imposed by the COVID-19 outbreak.
We wish to inform that the ‘Call for Action’ for now is closed. HCL Foundation is proud to share that, in the last 3 months, it has received over 1,900 high-quality proposals from organizations across the length and breadth of the nation! It was indeed challenging for the team of subject matter-experts and external consultants who reviewed these proposals and shortlisted the most suitable ones out of them.
In quick response to the Call for Action, 24 partnerships have been forged extending support across 15 States of India. This was over and above the response and action initiated under the existing HCL Foundation programs. HCL Foundation remains deeply committed in its response to the pandemic, encompassing the three pillars of RELIEF, RESTORATION, AND BUILD-BACK and working closely with the government stakeholders.
HCL and all its entities continue to respond to the pandemic through a holistic strategy across the following categories - Training, Capacity Building, Awareness & Coordination support through use of technology tools and platforms; Complementing the Healthcare Services; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health care and frontline workers; Food Security; Care for elderly, children & most disadvantaged and Animal Welfare. HCL takes seriously its responsibility to the larger community and is fully committed to extending all possible support to its communities and stakeholders in the fight against the COVID-19 challenge.
Thank you for your prompt response once again!
